Black Friday returns to Express Refreshments with a charitable twist!

You just can’t escape the Black Friday madness that hits the high street and online each November. Whilst the official day for 2021 is Friday 26^th, all the “early” and “extended” deals available can sometimes extend this shopping event for over a whole month! 

Here at Express Refreshments, we prefer to overlook the Black Friday norm and instead work with our customers to put a charitable twist on proceedings. Having done this in previous years we know it is very well received, so we’re delighted to bring it back again for 2021.

How we approach Black Friday.

Starting today, Monday 22^nd November, we are running a two-week promotion in our Micro Market’s where we will donate 10p from each item sold to our customers’ chosen charities.

We have been in contact with each of our customers to ask them which charity they want to support. Throughout the two weeks we will make them aware of how much they have raised so far on the media screens in their market, so they know how close they are to meeting any particular target.

As explained, this is something we have done in previous years with our Micro Market customers. It has always been very well received, with customers enjoying this refreshing alternative to the usual Black Friday offers and discounts. In recent years we have helped raise up to £300 for the chosen charities, which have included Douglas MacMillan, the Eden Projects Charity, and the James Hopkins Trust.

Under the name of Coinadrink, our vending machine division, we know just how much can be achieved when you work together with those closest to you. Throughout Covid-19 we worked with a local charity to support our NHS with lots of meaningful initiatives.

Black Friday from Express Refreshments: Update.

The results of our Black Friday promotion are now in. Together, we managed to raise an incredible £369.30 for our customers’ chosen charities, a wonderful achievement!
