The new arrival takes the popular caramel flavour and packs it into its famed layers of delicious Cadbury chocolate. Here it sits alongside the original Twirl and Twirl Orange to deliver a mouth-watering trio.
Eagle-eyed Cadbury fans may have noticed the brand drop hints about the new arrival in the run-up to its launch. The locations for these adverts were rather unusual and certainly unexpected, such as at the UK’s least-used train station and on a remote Welsh island.
Before you scratch your heads in confusion, there is method, and very clever marketing, behind the madness. Upon its launch, Cadbury has made it very clear that the new Twirl Caramel is a limited-edition product. The choice of quiet and unpopular locations is a deliberate attempt to try and keep customers calm, which ties into the “ControlTwirlHype” social media hashtag.
Of course, Cadbury knows nobody will really keep their cool over delicious Caramel flavoured Twirl chocolate. It may have only been officially on the market for little over two weeks, but we reckon everyone knows of its existence already.
We were pretty excited ourselves, even more so when we received first stock of this new marvel. It hit our Micro Market shelves on Monday, so our Micro Market customers have already been able to get their tastebuds around it.
We’re now just hoping (and praying) that the UK market follows that of Australia’s, where Twirl Caramel has been standard in shops and supermarkets for a good few years’ now. Fingers crossed!
