For those who are following us on social media, you will have seen our latest Micro Market install that officially went live this week. The client was an existing Micro Market customer already but wanted to take their current provision to the next level.

The completed project emphasises what the modern workplace can deliver. Express Refreshments is delighted to have helped yet another business enhance their available space to put employee wellbeing first.

The beauty of an Express Refreshments Micro Market is that one never looks the same as another out in the field. Designing and creating it from the ground up introduces opportunity to create something truly unique to the customer.

This particular design represents a vision meticulously brought to life. It was the result of feedback received from those who would be using the market everyday: the staff. Suggestions were made to enhance the current setup as part of wider plans for the breakout area on the whole.

The new Micro Market blends seamlessly into these surroundings, which we’ll detail further down. With our trusted partners at Nebrak, we designed a stunning solution that enticers the user into a well-earned break.

Some of the highlights include neon lighting in the header boards and an overall fit and finish that represents the understated beauty of brushed steel. We even went as far as painting our bespoke payment terminal to match the ambience.

As you’re about to find out, this delivers a fully managed refreshment solution that is central to a much bigger employee wellness initiative.

The client has put a lot of effort into improving this breakout area in line with the requirements of their team.

Grand plans were part of an overall aim to create a retro-diner feel. Colourful booth seating to promote teamwork and collaboration mixes with less formal facilities to really deliver the true purpose of any breakout area: employee wellbeing.

You’d imagine a dartboard, table football and amazing gaming stations to have no place in the traditional workplace, but the world is gradually moving on from what is expected.

And sure enough, implementing these activities into this breakout area demonstrates exactly what the modern workplace can be. Staff want to feel comfortable in their place of work and regular periods of time out need to be encouraged by leaders.
